Upon your arrival in the Kathmandu airport look for your guide with Sherpa Backpackers’ display board at the arrival gate. You will then be transferred to the hotel. After you check in you have sometime to explore the city and then preparing for your next day adventure is must. Your guide will introduce you to the rest of the team member and brief you about the trip in the evening. Provided there is time after the meeting we may as well go out for a group dinner to a traditional Nepali Restaurant.
DAY 2: Kathmandu to Australian Camp (2000m) via pokhara 8 Hours Drive and 1.5 Hour trek
Today we make an early start as we have a long journey of driving. After the breakfast, we leave Kathmandu at around 7am and nearly after 5-6 hours’ drive we reach Pokhara. Enroute we see more of the countryside of Nepal that offers greeneries, rivers, villages, farms and beautiful mountain scenery. However, the condition of road is not equally fine in all portion of our drive today. Once we get to Pokhara we take a Jeep to Dhampus driving for 1.5 Hours. The road to Pokhara is coal-tarred road, whereas after Pokhara the road is uneven but we definitely have the outstanding sceneries through the windowpane. Once we get to Kare we start to ascend towards Australian camp.Overnight in Australian Camp.
DAY 3: Trek to Forest Camp (2,600m) 6 Hours
After spending a beautiful morning in Australian Camp, we start to walk gradually towards Deurali and then we head off the main Annapurna trekking trail and follow the forested ridge to Forest camp. Since this is new trekking destination, there are no tea houses along the way and we need to carry pack lunch and sufficient water. The day’s walk in the rhododendron forest is beautiful with gradual uphill.
DAY 4: Trek to High Camp (3550m) 6-7 Hours
The trail gradually climbs through the rhododendron forest following the ridge. Low camp has got couple of tea houses in the clearing of the forest. The view of Mt Fishtail and Mardi Himal appears much closer. You find yourself closer to clear blue sky with view of layers of Himalayan foothills and sweeping valley towards south. We stop here for lunch. After lunch it’s about an hour to Badal Danda (Cloud Hill) above the tree line in consent of guide for better view. We continue to trek mostly through the exposed ridge to get to High Camp. Overnight at High Camp.
DAY 5: EXPLORE MARDI HIMAL BASE CAMP ( 4,500 m) and back to Badal Danda 8 Hours
A day trip is more difficult than other days with steep climb and longer walk. Trail becomes more vertiginous at some points with uneven and steep rocky steps. The first steep climb will take about 2 hrs to the ridge top which is marked as MBC Mardi Himal Base Cam). However the real base camp will take about another 2 hrs along the ridge. The view is amazing all along the ridge. While Mardi Himal and Mt Fishtail appear right above us, view of Annapurna I, Gangapurna and Annapurna III also appears at a distance. After we spend some time at Basecamp we start to head down to High Camp. Once we get to the tea house we can order something to eat and then slowly packup for our descend to Badal Danda.
DAY 6: Trek down Siding 5 Hours and drive to Pokhara 3 Hours
Even though the scenery is stationary, season and sunlight makes it different and interesting. Spend another morning watching the change that the sunrays bring. Walk down to the Siding via forest camp after breakfast. After having Lunch at Siding we will drive back to pokhara.
DAY 7: Drive to Kathmandu
Today, we drive back to Kathmandu early for the long bus journey. Once you are in Kathmandu your guide will help you check in to your hotel. Once checked in you have all afternoon free to yourself to explore more of the cities / rest / body massage enjoy spa etc. After all you deserve to have all of them. If you are still keen on exploring any other areas in Kathmandu, you can talk to your guide and he/she will organize it for you accordingly.
DAY 8: Final Departure

PERSONAL EQUIPMENTS FOR TREKKING
Important Note :
Your safety is of paramount concern while traveling with Sherpa Holidays. Please note that your leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns. Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary; however, since this adventure entails travelling in remote mountainous regions, we cannot guarantee that we will not deviate from it. Weather conditions, health condition of a group member, unexpected natural disasters, etc., can all contribute to changes in the itinerary. The leader will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if required.
The Trekking Group
For this trek, there will be one leader, assistant leader (4 trekkers:1 assistant guide) and Sherpa porters for luggage carrying (2 trekkers:1 porter). This arrangement ensures that any body in the group is sick, the trip can still go ahead as planned.Sherpa Backpackers can run the trek for group of any size. But generally it will be better to have a maximum of twelve people, as we have found this to be the optimum size for a successful trip. However, if we would like to make a group booking for more than twelve people together, Sherpa Backpackers can arrange this too.
Accommodations
During the trip, you will spend three nights in Kathmandu and during our trek we will spend rest of the nights at standard tea houses. All accommodations for trek are in local lodges on twin sharing basis. If we prefer a single room, we may indicate our preference and get single rooms on request by paying single supplement charges. However, there are several places that do not allow single accommodations in the Everest Region.
Meals
On your trip, you can enjoy both traditional Nepalese cuisine along with all types of international cuisine. Breakfast will be served from the tea house or lodge menu where we spend the night. Similar arrangement can also be made for dinner. Lunch will be taken on the way to the next destination. A welcome dinner will be served during our stay in Kathmandu.
